Devon 'Biketown' Riverview Bike Park, AB (2011 - 2013 with regular maintenance)

Skills Parks

Back in 2012, Devon re-branded themselves as Biketown and brought Hoots in to prepare a multi-phase, multi-year Bike Skills Park / Training facility development plan.

Construction started in October 2011, with Rabbit Hill donating wooden skills materials while Hoots developed and installed, and prepped for upcoming dirt jumps and pump track. Then in July 2012, the Hoots crew completed the facility now referred to as Riverview Bike Park.

Construction was in large part because of fundraising efforts by the local kids who pitched and won $25k in 2011 from the TSN Kraft Celebration Tour to help build the mountain bike skills park - how rad!

Hoots is proud to be part of the Bike Park development process, and continues to carry out maintenance in follow-up years. It is inspiring to see a small community come together to literally invite anything and everything bike related to their community. Their local bike shop Shift Happens alongside delicious coffee & bake shop Grounded are also great supporters of Devon’s Biketown initiative!
