Bike Park & Trail Builder

Since 2005, we’ve collaborated with riding clubs, local organizations and public agencies to develop innovative bike parks and trails across Canada. Our passionate team thrives on delivering meaningful recreation opportunities and world-class riding experiences. 
 
Available Positions: 

We are currently hiring seasonal Bike Park & Trail Builders with dirt shaping and carpentry experience to work on exciting projects in Alberta from now to November and into the 2027 season! This is a hands-on opportunity to build jumps, pump tracks, build wood features, and trails alongside an experienced team of professionals. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Arrive to site on time and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Assist in the construction and finishing of bike parks and trails using equipment and hand tools.
  • Follow safe workplace procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and the team.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute to feature design and test riding to ensure top-tier quality.
  • As construction sites change and teams need to be on-site for extended periods, employees must be comfortable with traveling and spending time away from home. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be Canadian or legally permitted to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required for project travel (please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement).
  • 2-3 years of experience building jumps, pump tracks, or trails (ramp and bridge construction is an asset).
  • 2-5 years of mountain biking experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years of landscaping experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the safe use of hand tools &/or construction machinery.
  • Strong prioritization skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team.
  • Preference given to graduates of Mountain Bike Operations, Forestry or Carpentry programs.
  • First Aid? Chainsaw Certification? 

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Competitive hourly wages ($18 - $42 / hr)based on certifications, experience and endorsements.
  • Potential for overtime pay.  
  • Travel rate compensation for project work.
  • Housing provided or reimbursed for all project assignments.
  • Per diem for some projects to cover food expenses when on the road.
  • Most tools supplied, but employees may use their own if preferred.
