In 2016, Jay was contacted by the Nordegg Community Association to design and develop a bike park facility that would incorporate various ride skills features as part of a revamp for the West Fraser Outdoor Discovery Park. Jay worked with the Nordegg Education Centre Committee to come up with a design that would compliment the overall park and amenities that include a community garden, play space, sitting area, shelter, dry river and planting.

Following fundraising activities to raise support for the bike park, the beginner and advanced pump track with surrounding wood-rock skills features and perimeter trail was completed in summer 2017 by the Hoots crew and volunteers. A welcome addition to the community, the facilities and naturalized features have been well received by riders and visitors, providing for a fun and engaging recreational venue that can be enjoyed by all.
