Completion of Salmonberry Bike Park wrapped up May 2025 in time for summer riding and shredders from beginner to advanced levels! Encompassing a nice little package of progressive jumps and pump track features, the project sits within a 1-acre (0.4 ha) pocket amongst surrounding Cottonwood trees, green space, community garden, and natural playground to the west.
Access for the Bike Park is at the northwest with elevated platform deck, while the Start / Return Hill at the south provides a cool vantage spot and take off into the beginner-intermediate Jump Lines and advanced Wood Ramp Gap Jumps along the east. Riders can corner and pump their way back from the Jumps to the Start Hill, or transition to the north platform deck - hopping onto the Pump Track to explore the multiple circuits, loops and ride line options.
With discussion and planning leading into 2024, and Hoots detailed design development and construction late fall and spring 2024 / 2025 through the wet seasons, the Bike Park integrates a natural drainage approach working with the existing site, elements and features. Future planting and naturalization by the City is currently in the works to further enhance this sweet local bike skills facility and go to for the neighbourhood and community!
