Phase 1 of the Bike Park is in place after years of planning! Since 2014, the Jasper Park Cycling Association (JPCA) has championed for a local bike skills facility with Hoots on board to assist in design and implementation. Working with the Municipality and Parks Canada, a detailed review and approval process was carried out engaging an environmentally sensitive approach on a leased land parcel in the SW area of Town.

In 2022, Hoots constructed Phase 1 of 2 in coordination with the JPCA which includes multiple jump lines and start deck approach at NE, secondary start hill with wood drops and ramps at SW, and multi-use perimeter trail. Following the 2024 wildfire, Phase 2 is now in the works with the Hoots crew returning in summer 2026 to expand the Bike Park with advanced Flow Jump trail and expanded NE start deck, as well as NW pump track with surrounding skills trail circuit.

The JPCA will continue in their fundraising & sponsorship efforts with shout out to local businesses and organizations who donated materials, machinery and equipment; and hands-on volunteers who came out to help on site.
