The new facility provides a fun and exciting riding area that expands upon local recreation opportunities. Completed in fall 2025, the Hoots crew worked with the Town to finalize project details, source local materials, and integrate with the All-Wheel Park and concrete skate zone within a 0.3 acre space.

Leading up, a survey was carried out and funding / sponsorship secured. Following Jay’s presentation to Town Council, Hoots was given the go ahead for project build recognizing the responsive and dynamic design with  "broader range of features intended to challenge more advanced riders while still offering elements for newcomers” (B. Kerton - Town & County Today, 2025). 

 

The Bike Skills Area offers a range of beginner to advanced technical wood-rock and dirt components - from low lying boardwalks, rock ramps and rollovers to elevated ladders, rock bridges, log rides, teeter and skinnies. Completed ahead of schedule and under budget, riders immediately jumped on the first chance they got!

 

Alongside re-purposing and retrofitting playground equipment, a signature beam box piece originated by the Baia family (of the famed Baia Brothers Trials Team back in the day) was incorporated focusing on bike-trials stability, control and proving to be quite the hit!

 

Indeed, the Bike Skills Area creatively brings together unique elements and forms inspired by nature, and enabling folks to practice their bike handling and navigation, balance and coordination!
