Planning began in early 2021 when the City collaborated with Hoots to carry out public engagement to help shape design. Through social media, online survey and open house, Hoots developed 3 concepts for dirt and paved tracks with accompanying skills features to complement Garden City Bike Terrain Park ~1 km to the east and also designed and built by Hoots.

With preference for a paved track, Hoots prepared detailed designs and worked with the City to source local materials. Building from spring into summer, Hoots heartily shaped and compacted the track, and engaged with sub-contractors for paving services and volunteers for finish work.

The completed facility is a go to attraction adding to the nearby Community Centre, skate park and adjacent Railway Greenway path. Integrated wood features, boulders and log seating alongside naturalized planting and colourful line painting applied by the City under Hoots guidance create a unique Bike Park asset for the area.
