In 2012, Jay worked with the City and youth who were involved with a local bike park removed for a construction project. An open house at City Hall was held the following year where the public and riding community provided input and ideas towards development of the Garden City Bike Park (aka Richmond Bike Terrain Park).

Hoots carried out construction during spring 2014 in a 1 acre space southwest of the Garden City Community Park that also houses a renown playground, walking trails, arboretum, picnic area, lake and sk8 area alongside recreational facilities.

 

The Bike Park offers diverse features and components with start / return deck, beginner to expert jump lines, pump tracks, and technical wood skills & balance features weaving through the trees. The facility also includes picnic spot, naturalized shade and buffering, alongside park amenities for all users to enjoy.
