In 2016, Jay was called on by the Brant Cycling Club for the planning and design of a bike skills park for riders of all ages and abilities from novice to advanced-expert.

Formed in 2014, the Club was founded on the desire to support bicycling activity and bring a bike park to the Brantford community. Following several years of outreach, fundraising and meetings with the City and local authorities, a site was selected with plans moving forward.
Public engagement and a design workshop was hosted by the Club in summer 2017 in collaboration with Jay with nearly 100 people in attendance representing local riders, park users, youth, parents and residents, alongside City Staff and local organizations. Input and ideas were shared, as well as concerns regarding the park and impact to the environment. This in turn helped shape development of a positive community recreation facility that integrated with the Rotary Centennial Waterworks Park and natural setting, made use of local resources and natural materials, and expanded upon the existing multi-use trails with benefits to all user groups.
Hoots completed the Bike Park in fall 2017 with support from local business, sponsorship and in-kind donations, alongside assistance from the Club, community and volunteers. In 2019, the Crew returned to build an additional wood skills area, redevelop the start / return hill with wood drop features, and carry out maintenance with volunteers in time for the official Grand Opening!
