Terrace Bike Park was one of the largest most comprehensive urban skills park built back in the day with 3 full acres top to bottom located in a highly populated urban setting and within an existing park. Adjacent schools and hospital across the street provided additional bonuses.
Even with the 2007 flood, land slide, lack of materials, lack of equipment, state of emergency and severely reduced volunteerism, the Bike Park was set up for some great riding with progressive dirt jump series, a natural pump track weaving through the trees, drops and other technical wood skills features.
Through the ongoing building and efforts of TORCA (Terrace Off Road Cycling Association) and their partners, the Bike Park has been developing to the next level. Recent renewal and expansion builds off the initial work put down by Hoots and the updated facility now houses a paved pump track, alongside skills area, drops zone and jump lines from beginner to advanced-expert.
