{alt_text}

In 2010, Jay coordinated with the Township of Langley to carry out public consultation and planning meetings to develop and provide the detailed design for Aldergrove Bike Park with a general contractor undertaking construction. Following up, Hoots Ltd. assisted with finish work and maintenance, and in 2018 was called on by the Township to reboot and revitalize the facility with engagement from local riders and kids.

Located centrally within Aldergrove Athletic Park, the ~1.5 hectare Bike Skills Park is surrounded by baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts and a community garden with nearby residences, community centre and high school. A popular go to, the community is really enjoying the recent 2018 updates to the facility with its’ revamped features and components integrated with park elements and greenery.

The Bike Park accommodates all ages and rider abilities through progressive design, diverse components and skills features. This includes a variety of progressive components / features from beginner to advanced including start / return hill with entry drops, series of progressive jump lines, and wood skills features, alongside BMX Pump Track mini 4X course with wall ride.

Hoots Ltd. engaged sustainable building methods and practices through design that integrates with existing site, trees and surrounding land-use. The Bike Park facility is supported by amenities and natural elements including passive grassy areas with spectator views, perimeter pathways, as well as wood skills features and boulders interwoven amongst existing trees and greenery.
