Edson Bike Skills Park, AB - 2016-20

{alt_text}

All 4 phases of the Edson Bike Skills Park are complete with awesome start / return hill, dynamic drops and ramps, beginner to expert jump lines with wall ride, 2 pump tracks, technical skills and elevated north shore balance area, Flow jumps circuit and trail through the woods!

Since its inception in late 2015, when the Edson Cycling Association (ECA) reached out to Jay for guidance on developing a comprehensive riding facility, Hoots Ltd. has been coordinating with the ECA and Town to design, plan and bring the project to fruition.

Through a collaborative process with the ECA and feedback from a public information session in 2016 where Jay presented the concept and helped answer questions on layout, features, budget, funding support and timeline, the final design was shaped.

Returning over several seasons, the Hoots crew became very familiar with the local riders and community, putting in many hours of hard work with keen volunteers helping prepare the site, and install the exciting Bike Park features. The finished project also houses family friendly amenities and picnic areas, and integrates sustainable drainage and stormwater management to address water and flow in this riparian area along the McLeod River.

Check out the ECA site to learn about the project background, shots from the Grand Opening in September 2020, alongside clips of riders shredding the Bike Park and hitting the features during construction.
